The 2° VTBi bracket set is identical to the STBi but made from 3 mm steel. This makes it more economical than the STBO but .8 kg heavier.
The brackets can be used with the B6 Screamer, B7, B8, B9, B10 and C1 seats. They also fit the side mount versions of the standard B6, and the W models of seats, when made with the additional back frame moulding. The hole spacing to attach the seat is 29 cm. This is mostly standard amongst the race car seat manufacturers but made with a 2° draw to perfectly match the sides of Tillett seats. The VTBi bracket system is designed to tuck under the seat to give a minimum footprint, this aids fitment into narrow and restricted cockpits. They are made from 3 mm thick steel powder coated with a black textured finish so that it is more scratch resistant and have an edge profile which helps avoid the leg bulge above the front mounting point. The brackets allow the seat to be tipped, raised and lowered using the various hole and slot combinations. The lower slots on the horizontal part enable them to fit the Tillett STRi and PTRi seat adjustment runner types using a hole spacing of 315mm. They also have a 300 mm hole choice so the VTBi can be used on top of the factory Mazda Miata MX5 runners of the NA Mk1 and NB Mk2-Mk2.5 versions of the car.
Please note, we advise against using any seat adjustment runners in a race car, as they are only intended for road use. The optional aluminium "Pegged spacer kit” can also be used in these to strengthen the front slots in the event of an accident.
